Chennai Express is an upcoming 2013 Indian action-comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan under her production banner Red Chillies Entertainment. The film features Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. This is the second collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone after the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om and the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty. Chennai Express is about a man's journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens along the way after he falls in love with the daughter of a don. Principal photography began on 27 September 2012. Filming began in October 2012 and was wrapped-up by May 2013.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! (abbreviated as OUATIMD, and previously known as Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again) is an upcoming 2013 Indian crime gangster film directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. A sequel to the 2010 film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, the film will feature Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan in leading roles, and Sonali Bendre in a supporting role.
The first trailer of the film was released on 28th May 2013. The film, on the other hand is expected to be released on the Independence Day, 15th August, 2013. The release date of the film was pushed further by the producers to avoid clashing with Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Chennai Express which is releasing one week earlier. This is the third collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as a pair (after 2012 films Rowdy Rathore and Joker), and the first between Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan.

Madras Cafe is an upcoming Indian political action thriller film directed by Shoojit Sircar. The main role of an Indian intelligence agent in the film is played by John Abraham, while Nargis Fakhri, who is the female lead plays an international reporter. The film also deals with the subject of terrorism, and will be shot in India and Sri Lanka. The film was earlier titled Jaffna named after the Srilankan town. It is set to release on August 23. The trailer was released with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag on July 12, 2013.

Zanjeer (English: Shackles; titled Toofan in Telugu) is an upcoming Indian action film directed and produced by Apoorva Lakhia, shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. The film marks the Bollywood debut of popular Tollywood actor Ram Charan in the lead role along with Priyanka Chopra. Prakash Raj joins the cast after success in Hindi films, like Wanted, Singham, and Dabangg 2. It is a remake of the 1973 Hindi film of the same name. The Telugu version of the film is to be dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam. The tentative release date is scheduled for September 06, 2013.
